FAQ
HOW CAN I JOIN 180 DC?
To join 180 DC, you must go through our formal recruiting process. We recruit at the start of Fall and Spring quarters.
WHAT IS THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS LIKE?
Our recruitment process usually includes a written application, coffee chats, a behavioral interview, and a case study.
DO I HAVE TO BE AN ECONOMICS MAJOR TO JOIN?
All majors are encouraged to apply! Our members come from a variety of disciplines and the only prerequisite to join is a curious mind and a strong work ethic. Our partnered consultancies often emphasize their desire for candidates coming from both STEM and the humanities.
WHAT DOES THE AVERAGE WEEK LOOK LIKE AS A NEW CONSULTANT?
The average time commitment for a new consultant on their first project is between 4-5 hours a week. For your project, you would attend a weekly project team meeting and a meeting with your assigned mentors. Additionally, you would work on your project independently over the course of the week. You would also attend a weekly general meeting with the entire club where we discuss project updates, bring in guest speakers, and hold info sessions/workshops with our partnered consultancies.
