The UCSB Branch of 180 Degrees Consulting was founded in Fall 2018 by a group of students looking to fill the void of hands-on consulting opportunities on-campus. Since then, the club has grown rapidly and now routinely runs 5 projects each quarter. We aim to help non-profits maximize their social impact by providing strategic guidance on financial planning, fundraising strategy, impact measurement, and program structuring.
As part of the world's largest student-run consultancy, we leverage a global network of resources and expertise to deliver exceptional value to our clients while providing our members with invaluable real-world experience.
For our members, we are creating an environment where students of all years and disciplines can learn and grow by working together in tight-knit teams. Our organization has also developed partnerships with top consulting firms like Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and Bain to best position our consultants for internships and full-time roles. Our aim is to widen the "placement net" beyond where UCSB is usually targeted. That means connecting our members with professionals as well as providing training, mock interviews, and mentorship to ensure that our consultants are prepared to place into consulting, finance, corporate development, engineering, and more.
Whether you study STEM or the Humanities, the ONLY prerequisite to join the club is a high-energy level to pursue your goals. The bottom line is that if you're interested in following an ambitious, unorthodox, and less travelled career path, UCSB 180 DC is the place for you.
